Hi there!! I'm Johannes, 19 years old, and I am from Essen in Germany.

Last year I finished high school and then I took a year off. Between October and March I traveled with a friend of mine through Southern Europe, mainly with workaway. We started in Austria, went through Italy and France all the way to Spain. We stayed at seven different hosts, had the chance to get to know so many amazing people, made new friendships and memories, collected a lot of impressions and just had a wonderful time.
Now I've won an Interrail ticket and want to start a second - much shorter - trip on my own. I've decided to explore a little bit of the Eastern part of Europe, where I'm looking for one or two hosts right now.

Some personal things about me:

I love music in general, I play the guitar for many years, have so much fun, playing, creating and listening to music and love playing with others. If you want to, I'm excited to have some little jam sessions together ;-).
Moreover, I'm volunteering in my local commuity in varios forms of youth work for five years already:
Organising and doing activities, looking for and playing - just working in general - with children of all ages. I also have an official youth leader card. So, I've already have some experience, working with children just brings me joy and fulfillment.
Right now, I'm planning to start a carpentry apprentice ship in September and even if this is not already 100 percent confirmed, I just like handcrafted working.

In school, I had English for many years, so I can communicate more or less fluent in English. I also had Latin, but that isn't one of the more useful languages you can learn ;). Nevertheless, I started some Spanish on Duolingo, that's why I can understand a few words and I'm always interested in the language of the country that I'm visiting, so I would love to learn some new words from you!!

Quais são suas habilidades?

First of all, I love to learn new skills and get to know different kinds of work. I am willing to learn, so that I can improve skills in all areas of life.
During the last journey I already did many different things, such as gardening, painting, repairing some old windows, sanding a lot, take care of animals, helping with the olive harvest, doing some easy carpentry and just doing general maintenance in and around the house.
I also took care of children where - as I said - already gained a little bit of experience at home.
So whatever you want me to do, I am thrilled to help you and take it as a chance to learn new skills.
