Hi! I am Sergio from the Netherlands, and I am currently traveling in my self-built camper van with my travel buddy, my cat. Since then, I have been traveling through the south of Spain and after that went to Asia, visiting Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines. I started my camper van journey in Lisbon and am now in the north of Spain. As you can see, I really love traveling. I like to meet new people, hear their stories, and learn about their culture. After I finished my study of Game Development, my then-girlfriend and I went on a world trip for a year. When the world trip was over, I worked as an app developer for 4 years. At the beginning of last year, my ex and I bought a van and converted it into a camper van (with the help of a very handy stepfather). Last September, we sold our house, and I quit my job to travel full-time. I have now been traveling for a total of 6 months, and I feel the need to be meaningful and connect with people. So Workaway seems the way to go for me!

I really like to cook and try recipes from different cuisines. When I'm visiting Asia, eating street food makes me the happiest. I like doing yoga and meditating. I enjoy going to the movies, and I also like to make beats from time to time. I'm a hard worker, and I love to learn new things.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I worked as an app developer for an IT consultancy company in The Netherlands, where I created apps using Mendix for the Dutch Health Authority. Although it was a good job, I felt that it wasn't the job I'd see myself doing for the rest of my life. I want to do something more hands-on, practical, and possibly more creative. So I am now figuring out what I want to do. Other than that, I have experience in construction. I helped with the construction of the kitchen and bathroom in my house and the camper van. If you give me instructions on how to do something, I will learn fast! I also love to cook for people and learn about recipes and cooking techniques.
