Help us renovate our house and garden in Mendoza, Argentina

  Beschreibung

  We are a Young Family (Juan from Argentina, Charly from Germany and our sons Jacinto -4,5 years- and Camilo -2 years-) renovating a house. We met traveling and now we are in Mendoza where we want to keep our house open for other travelers. In the house are also living two lovely Dogs and one also lovely cat :) For now we are in the stage of repair and restoration of the house. The work we are doing ourselves and it is much for the almost 100 years old house. That's why we need help and we would love to unite that with our desire to receive and meet other travelers. The house has a big garden, too, where we trying to establish a vegetable garden :)
  
  Juan is an artist and musician (sings, plays guitar and drums) and organized for several years cultural events in the house. Charly likes doing handcrafts and gives German lessons. Together we like being in the garden growing our own food. Jacinto is a happy little boy who loves meeting new people, playing and dancing to music, drawing, playing in the garden. Camilo is learning fastly from his big brother. He loves to play a lot in general, likes to dance to musik and he also loves the garden.

  ** Right now we are travelling ourselves for a longer time through Europe (started in december 2023, untill mid of August 2024) as a family. Still our proyect will keep on working. A good friend of ours will be living in the house in the meanwhile and taking care of the proyect always after consultation with us. His name is Cristian and he is also into the art, theater and music field. He speaks Spanish and English. So, when you write a message, you will get in contact with us first and as soon as both sides confirm you can get in contact with Cristian. **

  Somos una familia joven (Juan de Argentina, Charly de Alemania y nuestros hijos Jacinto -4,5 años- y Camilo -2 años-) renovando una casa. Nos conocimos viajando y ahora estamos en Mendoza dónde queremos mantener nuestra casa abierta para otros viajeros. En la casa viven tambien dos perras amorosas y un gato amoroso :) Por ahora estamos en la etapa de la reparación y restauración de la casa. El trabajo estamos haciendo nosotros mismos y es mucho por los casi 100 años que tiene la casa. Por eso necesitamos ayuda y nos encantaría de unir eso con nuestras ganas de recibir y conocer a otros viajeros. La casa tiene tambien un Patio/jardín grande donde estamos tratando de establecer una huerta :)
  
  Juan es artista y musico (canta, toca la guitarra y la percusion) y organizó por varios años eventos en la casa. A Charly le gustan las artesanias y ademas da clases de Aleman. Juntos nos gusta estar en el patio y la huerta cultivando nuestro alimento. Jacinto es un niño alegre a que le encanta conocer gente nueva, hacer musica y bailar, pintar, jugar en el patio. Camilo esta aprendiendo rapido de su hermano mayor. Le encanta en general jugar, le gusta bailar con musica y ama estar en el patio.

  ** En este momento estamos viajando nosotros mismos por un tiempo mas largo por Europa (empezamos en diciembre 2023, hasta mitad de agosto 2024) como familia. Igualmente nuestro proyecto seguirá funcionando. Un buen amigo nuestro estará viviendo en nuestra casa encargandose del proyecto siempre estando en contacto con nosotros. El se llama Cristian y tambien esta metido en el ambito del arte, teatro y de la musica. El habla español e inglés. Entonces cuando nos escribís un mensaje estarás primero en contacto con nosotros, en cuanto los dos lados confirman podrás estar en contacto con Cristian.**

  As we met traveling, we really like the cultural exchange and we are interested in other languages. The exchange of one's own culture with that of the other as well as exchanging knowledge and experiences of travel and other cultures. We are also self-taught, that is, we like to learn to solve any problem that comes up being creative and curious. We are interiodized in the world of music, art and crafts, of conscious food and sustainable agriculture so we can give refferences and make contacts with people from these areas. The house is very well located, near the center of Mendoza, so you have easy access to the points of interest of the city of Mendoza.
  
  Como nos conocimos viajando nos gusta mucho el intercambio cultural y nos interesamos por otros idiomas. El intercambio de la propia cultura con la del otro como tambien intercambiar conocimientos y experiencias de los viajes y otras culturas mas. Además somos autodidactas es decir nos gusta aprender a solucionar cualquier problema que se presente siendo creativos y curiosos. Estamos interiorizados en el mundo de la musica, del arte y de la artesanía, de la alimentación conciente y de la agricultura sustentable por lo que podemos dar referencias y dar contactos con personas de estos ambitos. La casa esta muy bien ubicada, cerca del centro de Mendoza, por lo cual se tiene facil acceso a los puntos de interés de la ciudad de Mendoza.

  Arbeit

  During the last time we have been repairing and renovating the house. Now as we gonna be traveling we will take a break with this kind of work. Your general tasks are going to be for example maintining the house and garden, cleaning, watering, taking the dogs for a walk. There might be coming up some other tasks of course like painting, planting new plants or something specific at that moment.
  
  The idea is to have a daily routine with 3 hours work the day (generally during the morning after breakfast), 5 days the week. Meals are not included, you can organize yourself (and maybe together with other volunteers if there are going to be some others at the same time).
  
  
  
  Durante el último tiempo hemos estado reparando y renovando la casa. Ahora vamos a estar viajando y tomaremos un descanso de este tipo de trabajo. Sus tareas generales serán por ejemplo mantener la casa y el patio, limpiar, regar, sacar las perras a pasear. Pueden haber otras tareas como pintar, plantar o otras especificas del momento.
  
  La idea es de tener una rutina diaria de 3 horas de trabajo por dia (generamente durante la mañana después del desayuno), 5 dias por semana. Las comidas no estan incluidas, pueden organizarse entre ustedes (y quizas con otros voluntarios por si habra otros en el mismo tiempo).

  Unterkunft

  Private room in the same house with shared bathroom. Meals are not included.
  
  **Due to the economic situation of Argentina it is no longer possible for us to provide toiletpaper/kitchenroll etc. So please make sure to bring your own. In total it makes a huge difference for us (not everyone is using it sparingly). If you use the kitchen please also colaborate with oil, salt and spicery. Thanks for undestanding!**
  
  Values and principles of living together:
  Rest is respected in the house.
  It's important that everything you use (kitchen, cleaning etc.) after finishing goes back to its place ready for the next use. Therefor you will find posters with indications in the house.
  
  
  Habitación privada en la misma casa con baño copartido. Comidas no estan incluidas.
  
  **Considerando la situación económica en Argentina ya no es posible para nosotros de proveer papel higiénico/rollo de cocina etc. Por favor, asegurate de traer tu propio papel. En total hace una gran diferencia para nosotros (no todos lo usan de manera cuidada). Si usas la cocina, por favor, colaborá con aceite, sal y condimentos. Gracias por tu comprensión!**
  
  Valores y principios de convivencia:
  En la casa se respeta el descanso.
  Es importante que todo lo que se usa (cocina, limpieza, etc.) después de terminar queda listo para el proximo uso en su lugar. Para eso encontrarán carteles con indicaciones en la casa.

  The house is located in the city one busride away from the terminal but you can also walk in 30-40 minutes. Mendoza city is not very large , we are located very close to the San Martin Park and you can reach the most interesting places in the city. And depending on expectations of the traveler we can advise you which sites or activities to visit. We are also one block from one stop of the tram.
  
  La casa esta ubicada en la ciudad a un bus de distancia del terminal aunque se puede llegar caminando en 30-40 minutos. La ciudad de Mendoza no es muy grande, estamos ubicados muy cerca del parque San Martin y se puede llegar a los sitios mas interesantes de la ciudad. Y dependiendo de las expectativas del viajero aconsejarles que sitios o actividades pueden visitar. Estamos tambien a una cuadra de estacion del tranvia.
