Ainhoa stayed at our house for one month, we trusted her with our house during our trip. She was very responsible for watering the flowers keeping all the given directions and keeping our dog for her walks, medicine and food. She loves Sara so much!! She also was so willing to help my sister clean our parent's house and do everything they asked of her. Although we didn’t spend a lot of time with her we felt every time her positive energy. Don't hesitate to have Ainhoa at your home Thank you so much Ainhoa for your help!! We hope to meet you again even in Greece, in Spain or everywhere in the world

Well Jarrad, weren't you just wonderful! We were so lucky to have you stay with us, especially at the same time as another Workawayer stayed as you two just were so wonderfully compatible together; enjoying each other's company, doing things together, working together and simply 'in tune'. We couldn't have been more fortunate having you stay with us. You were easy going, really easy to get along with, stated things as they are (no beating around the bush), really capable with all of the jobs you tackled, soooooo very positive and willilng to give anything a go, really super practical and sensible and we always knew you were dependable and reliable.....oh and we didn't mention honest, but yes, super honest and obliging. We miss your positivity and ability to chill, as well as achieve so much in what you helped us with every day. Thank you thank you thank you for just being you. Needless to say, you're always welcome.

Hands down the best workaway experience I've ever had ! Nao-chan and her family made me feel at home from day one. Nano Inn is such a beautiful, peaceful place, I had so many wonderful experiences there (highlights include Sport's Day at Tae-chan &Tami-chan's school, fireflies and getting my name translated into kanji ? amazing). I was also very fortunate to share my time here with some really great people, the other volunteers. The work doesn't feel like work, and there's so much countryside to explore ? Thank you so much Nao-chan and Kida-san for welcoming me so warmly, ありがとうございました！

Staying here has been the best! I had initially planned to stay for 2 weeks, but came back to stay longer :) From the moment I arrived everyone has made me feel so welcome and part of their family <3 All 3 homestays are amazing and the families are all so welcoming. They can all cook so well too! All the food I've had here was delicious :) With the volunteering I have done many English classes. It has been so rewarding seeing the kids so happy. Thank you Silvi for the good help while teaching! Besides the English class we also had other projects, like painting murals, helping with the social media. They are always open for new ideas eg. on how to improve the homestays and schools. During my stay here I had a lot of opportunities to explore, from going to waterfalls, camping, the Lombok loop, visiting traditional markets and so much more! I also got to be part of several Hindu ceremonies and the Ramadan ceremony. It was a wonderful to be able to experience this and see more of the culture here in Lombok. Everyone from the organization is so amazing! They are all very kind and a lot of fun to be around! There is a lot of laughing and karaoke :) I am so grateful for this experience and will be coming back again for sure :) I would definitely this volunteering experience, especially if you want to be involved more in the local cultures and help out with all the projects around the village. Thank you so much Dayat, Rina, Silvi, Adi, meme, Carolina and everyone else for making this a time I'll never forget :)

What a joy it was to host Ciaran & Inke! They stayed for one month (May 2024) on our farm and have proven to be not only very helpful but also resourceful. They regularly went above and beyond what was asked of them. More than once they participated in brainstorms to solve a particular problem or challenge. Easy-going people who like their privacy but are also happy to share some fun moments over a meal or a game. They showed genuine interest in the Mauritian culture and were great discussion partners over a nice fresh cold beer!

To my friend Al, I had a wonderful stay for 2 weeks in the green ol bus. If you love rustic and rural this is the place! My time there consist of chopping wood for heat, topping pine trees, working the excavator, garden maintenance, & basic house cleaning chores. My off days I would ride the bike down to the Green Stone Bridge & kayaking across the lake to Glenorchy for ice cream. We went on nice morning walks down to the lake front, which is very beautiful. I enjoyed my time listening/singing along to Al & his friends playing music. You'll definitely not starve, Al is also a great cook. Definitely needs his own cooking channel! 🧅🥔🥦🍞🧀🍗☕️ I really appreciated all the time I spent on Al's beautiful property. This was my first stop arriving to NZ that I feel set me up for success for the rest of my time traveling along. You are a wonderful person with a great sense of humor & a big heart. Thank you for being you Al! Aslo can't forget about Kevin the meowing kitty, give him lots of pets for me ♡

We had the pleasure of hosting Niels & Amia in April 2024 on our farm. Although they had little skills beforehand regarding farm work, they largely made up for it by displaying great curiosity and the will to learn. They were fast learners and in no time a real help with the daily chores and more. Preferring to finish a job they started, they regularly put in more time than required. They were the first WorkAway'ers we received while living on the farm too - a very nice first experience! We shared some good times over an occasional sundowner, a meal and/or a competitive game of Rummikub or Uno. All in all, by hosting Niels & Amia you can be sure to have reliable help and pleasant company!

I spent a month with Sara and Fabio, and it was incredible. They are both interesting, kind and inspiring people and it was always a pleasure to work with them. The work is varied, enjoyable and always done in good humour! The farm is a real paradise for discovering a new rhythm of life, and Sara and Fabio are hosts who make life easy! Don't think twice, go for it!

Barbara and Martin are wonderful hosts. They are kind, considerate and generous people who go the extra mile to make a Workaway experience rewarding and memorable. Barbara is a great cook and we had some lovely evenings chatting over good food and wine in their kitchen. Highly recommended!

This was my first WorkAway experience during my first solo trip to Central America and it was everything I had dreamed of and more! The three weeks I spent there flew by as the experience was so fulfilling. Imagine waking up, opening the gates to the terrace and preparing coffee for the guests while also chatting with them, feeding the cats, making sure that everything is clean and refilled, doing some laundry, checking out guests and checking in new ones coming from all over the world, answering questions about the town and the activities...and then once the shift is over jumping on a bike and heading to the beach for some swimming, sunbathing, beach volleyball or surfing. There were many days in which I would just find myself smiling about the whole situation I was living, and for this I want to thank Chantal and Claire from the bottom of my heart! The people I met in this hostel, including them, the other volunteers, Felipa, and Maria, and the guests all became like a little family (we used to do family brunches in Sunday mornings!) with such an easygoing vibe. I highly recommend this experience because it has the perfect balance of many tasks that you can do which help you learn how to manage a hostel (this for me was important as I one day hope to run my own), the vibe is very chill, and its location in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca is quite nice for its reggae vibes as well as its proximity to lovely places like Cahuita, Manzanillo, Punta Uva. Your time at the hostel will fly by and you will learn so much and meet so many nice people that you'll for sure miss it!

This was my first ever Workaway and I honestly could not have wished for better. What an amazing place to be, and such awesome hosts as well. There was a great sense of community from the moment I got here which turned into more of a family as the days went on. Working here was fun and I never felt that too much was expected of me. The food cooked daily was delicious and the daily workshops were such a rich learning experience also. I was able to teach a poetry workshop and attended workshops on soap making, theatre, natural beauty treatments. On top of this I even got to perform at the open mic situated right across the road!

Theres and Fritz are friendly, easy going, open-minded, kind and very diligent farmers. It is nice to be always working along either one or both of them and with clear instructions from them. In May, the tasks were mainly putting up fences and clearing the pastures off fallen branches and pine cones to prepare the meadows for the cows to graze on. Some meadows are steep but Theres and Fritz will give tasks that are only within your capabilities. I saw Sonia a couple of times and she is friendly too. Gimmelwald is a beautiful mountain village. The region offers lots to explore from sites thronged with tourist to various hiking trails void of tourists. Theres and Fritz, thank you very much for the wonderful experience and stay with you all; and Sonia, for the macarons:)

We were blessed to have a two week stay with Viki. She was such a sweet, kind and considerate person with an amazing sense of humor and great culinary skills. We shared many meals, laughs and stories during our stay and felt right at home. Viki has amazing knowledge of medicinal herbs and was able to cure us of our colds very quick! Her cat is very sweet and friendly and the village had lots of cute dogs running around. The work was primarily gardening and home renovation which was fun and a great balance between work and rest. We miss you already Viki and can’t wait until our next encounter! - Tris and Cole

We stayed about 2 1/2 weeks at Vitoria's jungle property. Despite a rainy couple of days, we enjoyed our experience so much! Vitoria is kind, generous, and open-minded. She gave us rides whenever she could, so we were able to explore Byron multiple times and check out some of the areas bush walks. We stayed in a cute caravan at the top of the property (which was definitely a treat) and soaked up sun on the deck after work. The work we did on her property included weeding, whipper sniping, and cleaning. The work was tough some days, but satisfying to see spaces transformed and ease Vitoria's workload. All in all it was well had a great time and are very grateful for Vitoria's hospitality.

family scott, ella, jona and noah came here and our personalities and different cultures melted together just like a great example of peace and freedom. german, russian, ucrainian, dutch and us american culture all together and daily life with all its up and downs, laughing and crying, relaxing and tense moments and allways and everywhere the kids arounf and among us screaming, laughing, crying. this family is special and i am sure not everybody could handle this but we could and we wanted more, but the time to say goodbye had to come but we hope very much to see us again and still we have a hope a "miracle" happens and we get you ghuys as neighbours next door. we pray for it:) it was all not about work as in these weeks we did not do so much works and had more family things to do so here i do not talk about working skills etc. anyways for us the most important thing is the together living and feeling than the work:) ella is a fantastic chef for our sense of taste and scott is a fabolous singer and noah and jona are mega sweet boys with the most beatifull smile ever:) LOVE

Paolo is a genius. He may pick up any language just by listening to you. Overall, he is very much interested in different cultures and languages and thus easily adapts to any foreign circumstances. Paolo is extremely pleasant and fun company, respects the rules in every way, works hard, and goes very well in a large group, as well as alone, independent. He can also cook delicious pasta! We were privileged to host him for a full month. It was not easy to let him go, we would have loved him to stay! We would take him back anytime. Welcome, Paolo! If you who are reading this are a host, and Paolo is willing to stay with you, do not wait for minute to say him yes!

Also we only stayed for about a week, we had a great time . By the time it was just us and Alex and a big group for a workshop over the werk end. The place is very beautiful and there is a lot to learn. We helped in the garden, harvesting a cherry tree, creating a Mosaik and some other things. Alex has a lot of knowledge, he is happy to share. He took us on a great hike in the mountains. I recommend to stay a bit longer, because it always takes a few days to settle in.

I stayed for 10 days, working mostly during afternoons, while taking care of my online dayjob during the day. Work was flexible and possible to do independently, which I greatly appreciate. Mostly taking care of the lawn, chopping some firewood, and walking the dog, who is very friendly and smart. The surrounding area looks great, though I didn't have too much time to explore it due to having a fulltime job on top of my Workaway commitments. Regardless, it was a positive experience that allowed me to learn new things. If I didn't live in Finland already, I'd also appreciate the authentic Finnish house and sauna more, but that part unfortunately isn't new to me. Or fortunately?

This is our first experience, we had a great time with Jessica and David. Pascal was well supported by David in his DIY tasks. David is looking for new experience, he is interested and the missions are always accomplished according to our requests. I wandered with David and shared culinary experiences. Jessica spent a lot of time with me. She is also a person curious about new experiences. missions are always carried out according to our request. She doesn't stay around and comes to offer her help. They are a very pleasant and discreet couple.
